SUMMER SERIES RELEASE RECAP
It was a SIZZLING HOT day this past Saturday during the FFB Summer Series release, but the heat most certainly didn't stop the loads of people who came out supported and partied with Fur Face Boy and Adikt!

While Nathan and Jennifer drove in from San Antonio to get their FFB fix!
FFB super fan/ hot girl, Nikia made the drive all the way from Oklahoma City! WOWZERS!
Nikia wasn't the only hot girl hanging out and having fun...
This is Charlotte and her son, B.J. Charlotte is a co-worker of mine at my dayjob! No biggie ,right? Well, the funny thing about that is that NO ONE at my day job has a clue (atleast I think they don't) that I do FFB on the side! But since I started my dayjob during the same time Charlotte did, we came to form a good friendship and trust. She knows to keep FFB hush, hush at work and for that I thank her! She got B.J. hooked on the brand, and he's pretty close to having pretty much all FFB tees! B.J. is a musical genius! Trust me, sometimes at work, his mom will go on and on about his musical talents and how proud she is of him. It's awesome!
My friend, Heather came out to show some FFB love and grab up some of the free ice cream that we were serving up on this lava hotass day! Heather is a graphic designer and is always in the market for design work, so if anyone is hiring, make sure you check out Heather's badass design work HERE.

This is my friend Brandon and his girl. Brandon just got back from a Summer NYC vacation and turned alot of heads rocking FFB. It truly is the fans like Binh, Ericka, Brandon and YOU who help make the brand grow more and more by the day!
Love was in the Summertime air during the release. Jose and Katy are one of the best couples I've ever seen in my life. Not only do they look great together, but they're also semi FFB designers. How you ask? Well, awhile back, I gave Jose and Katy a first look at Series III before it released. I asked them for their opinions and they told me some suggestions. In the end, Jose and Katy played a BIG part in the color selection of the FFB Fancy tee! Cool huh? Yea, I know. Thanks again guys!
Another beautiful couple...Leon and Ani. Usually, during an event I'm giving advice on how to start up your own T-shirt brand, but on this day I gave these two some relationship advice. Wanna know what I told them? Just e-mail them and ask! Haha...

We rented an ice cream cart for the full Summertime experience (YES! FFB goes all out!) My friend, Sam from Unkommon Kolor is ready to tear some ice cream up! Wise move, Sam! Wise move, indeed!
This is the NEW cookie queen, E-Dub! As in E-DUB-ALICIOUS! She stopped by with a backpack full of dozens upon dozens of THE BEST home made cookies that I've ever eaten in my entire life time! From chocolate chip to peanut butter to macedonian to one of my new favorites...lemon blueberry! Check out her twitter and @ her some orders, I know I'll be ordering some soon!
It's always MEGA cool to see support from all the shops that I've come to work with in the past. Approaching these shops and coming up with an event takes alot of time and planning. So during the planning, it's always fun to build a relationship and get to know each other so much more. So much so, that I can proudly say that everyone that I've worked with are now my friends!
This is the magnificent Jully from We Are 1976! Just last month, we worked together and put on a VERY SUCCESSFUL workshop on how to start your own T-shirt brand!

It was mad outside, but it was just as mad inside! I gave Adikt intern, Nate a FFB Ice Pop tee, BUT he had to earn it! And that he did! NATE! NATE! NATE! NATE!

A SUPER-SONIC, HYPER, MEGA, ULTRA THANKS goes out to my cousin, Vy and FFB intern #2, Dave (Intern #1, Angel is STILL vacationing in the Philippines) both of them did an EXTRAORDINARY job handling sales and inventory, which gave me time to talk and hang out with the many fans who came out and showed the FFB love! There were times, when I just stood back for a few seconds and watched them work and I was SUPER impressed. Vy said she's learning book keeping and she started an inventory system for me after seeing how ridicuously atrocious I kept my inventory and Dave continues to let EVERYONE know about the brand everyday!
Believe me, if I can ship this brand to even further distances, there's NO DOUBT in my mind that both Vy and Dave AND Angel will play big parts in the brand. I don't want to dissapoint them and I know that they don't want to dissapoint me, when creating a team EVERYONE has to use their talents and be on the same page. And with the group that I have, I KNOW we can do some EVEN MORE AMAZING things in the future.
It was definitely a Summertime blast! The crowd, the food, the ice cream, the music, the drinks, the ENTIRE VIBE was perfection! If you're looking for the FFB Summer Series, don't worry! GO BACK IN TIME...
...tomorrow (July 24th at ADIKT) to the early 90's! As some of you may already know, along with the release of my 2010 SUMMER SERIES, FREE ice cream, FREE drinks and FREE food, a big part of the day will be the MUSIC! We'll be blasting early 90's Hip-hop and R/B throughout the entire day! If you don't like it then..."Fine. Be like that." FUR FACE BOY X ADIKT
The FFB 2010 SUMMER SERIES is ready, set, go, Go, GO! This Saturday, July 24th make sure you join me and my good friends over at ADIKT for a Summertime bash! Be there for FREE ice cream, FREE hot dogs and FREE drinks while we jam early 90's hip-hop and R/B all throughout the day! Things start at 3 pm until whenever, but be TOTALLY sure to show up early to get your hands on the SUPER LIMITED (Only 36) FFB x ADIKT collaboration EXCLUSIVE!
When I first met Darren (owner of Adikt) right off the bat, I felt his passion for his shop. His love for all things sneakers and the culture that came along with it, led him to ultimately open up Adikt and become one of, if not THE first sneaker boutique in the Dallas / Ft. Worth area. I remember Darren going on and on about different sneakers and how he got them and what he had to do to get them and this and that, that and this, it was pretty clear...Darren was / IS an Adikt.
Adikt's original logo are crossed pills. Get it? You're an addict, so what better way to symbolize that than with some pills! GENIUS. When we started to talk about ideas for our collab shirt we wanted to make sure that the design clearly represented both of our brands (as ALL collabs should). I then started telling Darren about FFB and the passions / loves that drive my brand. Things like comics, toys, music, art, design, quirkiness and of course, video games too.
We then put 2 and 2 together (pills and videos games) and thought of the perfect idea to base our design off from - the 1990 Nintendo classic, DR. MARIO. Hence the FFB X ADIKT collab...

2010 FFB SUMMER SERIES LINE UP

FFB ICE POP - What's summer without ice cream and popsicles? It's a no brainer! SUMMER + FFB = FFB ICE POP!
Everybody kept asking me..."Damn! When are you gonna re-release the Bearmaibrick tee?!" I guess what everybody didn't realize is that I DON'T REPRINT FFB shirts when they've sold out. So no, the OG Bearmaibrick shirt will never come back...BUT WAIT! I kinda sorta brought him back only this time around with a Summer twist! Sunglasses and beach shorts? Uhhhhh...can you say - SUMMERTIME BEARMAIBRICK!
CAPTAIN AMERIFUR - The 4th of July ALWAYS comes to mind whenever I think of Summer, which in turn leads to America popping into my mind, which in turn leads to the color combo of red, white and blue. Now take those thoughts and couple it together with a bit of Super Soldier Serum and FFB. This is what you get...
FFB FRESH - Now I'd like to take a minute, just sit right there, I'll tell you why I created this shirt...The early to mid 90's were by far some of my most favorite Summers. I remember hanging out with family and friends and noticed everyone liked to wear either an ash colored tee or loudass, brightass, neon colors. How rediculous was that?! So rediculous I guess, that I wanted to bring that look back in 2010! And if you think that's bunk then eat my shorts!
FFB TANK - It's Summertime and everyone knows that it gets HOT AS F! (Especially in Texas!) It'd be great to walk around topless everywhere, but most people have a small bit of dignity, so that's why we have tank tops! This is a FFB tank top. Wear it when it's hot. And oh yea, it's heather blue...and who doesn't like heather blue?! WHO?! TELL ME...WHO?!

QUOTES
Keep an eye out on this blog, my twitter and my facebook. Why? Because I'm going to be annoucing my 2010 FFB SUMMER SERIES line-up soon...
But before I can reveal the line-up and release date, I have to get assloads of shit together. Many (including myself) when first starting out, tend to overlook getting various quotes. So make sure you do your research and shop around a bit before commiting to a particular screen printer / service. You don't want to get nickeled and dimed on various '??' charges all the way to the poor house. Also keep quality in mind and ALWAYS remember that...'you pay for what you get.' Anyways, these days, I contact on average about 5 different screen printers to make sure that I'll be getting the best possible price, quantity and most importantly...QUALITY! Getting and comparing quotes can take days, weeks or even months! But just know that in the end, your hard work searching for what's best for YOUR brand will indeed pay off!
As usual, when I release a new line, I like to throw a fun / unique party for the drop! So along with dollar and quantity equations, I'm currently working together with an awesome shop too (which also means COLLAB TEE!) to make this a SUPER fun-filled day! Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah...JUST STAY TUNED.

ACTUAL PRINT
So last Friday, my little, yet rapidly growing T-shirt brand was mentioned in the Dallas Morning News!
The day the article hit, I remember reading it and thinking just how much more satisfying it is being featured in a LEGIT newspaper. I mean today, with the internet and all, you can get better exposure elsewhere...but the feeling of being in actual print makes it feel so much more REAL, so much more AUTHENTIC and so much more AWESOME! I can't lie when I said that..."I'm pretty damn proud of myself!"

MARTY B
Who is Marty B? MARTELLUS BENNETT of the Dallas Cowboys...DUH!
Marty B is a BIG FFB fan! He told me that he's been tracking me down for quite sometime now to talk Fur Face Boy! Eventually, his PR agent had to track me down. When I met Marty up, he was a straight up genuine guy! You'd figure a big NFL player with the means to get pretty much anything he wanted to get would be a a total douchey-asshole type, but that was TOTALLY NOT the case with Marty.
Marty kept it real the whole entire night. There were a few occurances of football talk here and there, but mainly, we just goofed around and talked about life. Marty even gave me tips on reading a woman's mind - tips that I totally agree with! We also talked about family and friends, his hometown of Houston, sneakers, video games, Sore Losers, his dog - Mr. Miyagi, the ESPY's and living life to the fullest by simply being a good person.
At the end of the night, Marty was gonna handle our dinner bill, I mean...shit, big NFL player making millions of dollars a year, that's a no brainer, right? NO. Marty came across to me as such a geniune person that I handled the bill. Not only that, but I also hooked him up with some FFB shirts! A genuine personality goes a lonnnnnnnng-ass way with me and that's DEFINITELY something Marty had. He said he'll be repping FFB to the fullest and was extremely appreciative. All that I ask in return is...

GLOBAL FANS
About a month ago, I decided to give a FREE Fur Face Boy shirt to every continent (except for Antartica). Read more about my little experiment HERE. Anyways, I received photos from everyone who received their FFB shirt! So c'mon, let's learn abit about where they're from and who they are...
Representing North America and the great state of Ohio is JEREL JONES. Jerel has been a big FFB fan since I first originally started. He has a lifestyle blog AND is also in the works of starting his own line: HaBO Apparel. Check it out and send my man, Jerel your thoughts!

Hailing from the Ukraine and representing Europe is MYKOLA DOSENKO. Mykola is an EXTREMELY BADASS graphic designer. My first glimpse at Mykola's work was his video rendition of Kanye West's Robocop, which absolutely blew my mind! Since then, I've been keeping up with Mykola's hilarious antics on twitter and an occasional iChat / AIM session. Be sure to check out his work HERE AND his new line FARTOOKIND HERE. Off the coast of Africa, on a small tropical island called Mauritius, JEAN-FRANCOIS BRUNET proudly rocks FFB! Jean-Francois says that he checks my blog on a regular basis and that I'm a big inspiration! If you don't believe me, just read right HERE. Cool huh? Yea, I know.
From Australia is CALLEN JOTTA. Callen's T-shirt line is currently in the works. He said that he'll be letting me know about it sometime in October. Until then, rep that FFB BAM shirt proudly! BAM!
