ROLLER DERBY
After work, I met up with my screen printer to set some goals we both want to accomplish within the next 3 weeks. Then I made it home for a bowl of Cocoa Pebbles and some fetch with my dog, Bear Mai (The Original Fur Face Boy). After that, I was off to see a Dallas Roller Derby preseason exhibition EXTRAVAGANZA!
Here in Texas, we take our Roller Derby EXTREMELY SERIOUS! It's been a year or so since I've been, so I figured..."What the hell. I'm going." You'll always find a unique bunch of people out at a roller derby match up, which is why it makes for the PERFECT opportunity to spread the Fur Face Boy name! I didn't bring any shirts to pass out, so a business card was the next best thing. I think I came off as a total weirdo at first, but in the end...we're all just one big happy weirdo family. (Insert audience track: awwwwwwww...)
I had no idea a TV crew was gonna be there. Turns out that it was the TLC crew filming...
...What Not To Wear! Y'know, it's that show that finds people who can't dress and helps them look for a new wardrobe. The show's hosted by the two fashionista's below: Stacy London and Clinton Kelly.
Clinton Kelly was cool and all, but we all know it's all about Stacy London! And Stacy London knows it's all about FFB!
After spreading the Fur Face Boy name out and meeting Clinton and Stacy, it was time to actually watch the derby bout. It gets rough out there! The girls slam into the crowd, the walls, tables and chairs as well as each other! Screeeeeeeeeeeeeech....CRASH!
The beer always flows at a derby bout...
...which means, so do I.
